The appointment takes around 30 minutes, with the injections taking only 5 minutes.
The treatment starts to kick in in around 2 weeks with the full aesthetic result being visible in around 6 weeks.
Botox in this area generally lasts a bit longer than in other areas of the face and generally lasts around 4-6 months on average, after which time, the muscles simply resume their normal activity.

There is no downtime whatsoever with masseter botox!
After treatment, we advise you to stay upright for 4-6 hours so that the botox doesn’t move and not to have any facials/ facial massage for at least 2 weeks.

Bruxism/Jawline Slimming
This is an exceptionally popular treatment in the clinic for both aesthetic and functional reasons.
Jawline slimming treatment involves placement of neuromodulator into our masseter (jaw) muscles. Many patients clench or grind their teeth unknowingly in their sleep and over time, this can lead to the muscles bulking up. It is almost like going everyday and working out the same muscle group. This causes the lower half of our face to widen, and gives the face a squarer and bulkier appearance. It can also cause pain on waking up, tension heachaches and can cause damage to our teeth such as chipping or cracking teeth/fillings.
Placing Btx into these muscles in the right candidates causes the muscles to relax, thereby relieving any jaw tension and pain but also reducing the overactive muscle mass, to slim the face. This gives a narrower lower half of face and feminises those with a squarer or wider face shape.
Sometimes, the jaw muscle on one side can also become overworked compared to the other side, leading to facial asymmetry, which we can also treat (see gallery below).
