Treatments for dark circles often take multiple sessions and multiple different treatment forms e.g. undereye mesotherapy sessions to lighten the area followed by filler to correct the hollowness.
Undereye mesotherapy gives gradual results over at least 3 sessions whereas the results from the filler are instant, and generally last around 9-12months. Each time you have this done, the results will last longer as the filler induces collagen into the region over time.

It can be a bit uncomfortable however we numb the skin prior to the treatment with numbing cream.
We also do not use needles in this delicate area, to reduce swelling/pain and also to be safe and minimize complications. Instead we use a micro-cannula to deposit the filler. This is blunt ended and uses only a single entry point on both sides, thereby reducing trauma and minimizing risk.
The result can be seen instantly for filler and gradually with undereye mesotherapy, but tends to improve over the next 3-4 weeks post treatment.

Downtime with filler in this area is generally very minimal and makeup can be applied the next day. Downtime with undereye mesotherapy can be around a day due to swelling. Please see undereye mesotherapy page for further details.
Tenderness and mild swelling is expected for a few days as well as potential for mild bruising in some cases. We provide pre and after care instructions to go through ways we can further minimise this.
Dark Circles
Signature Treatment
One of the most common areas that patients seek treatment for is their dark circles. It is unfortunately however, one of the hardest areas to treat simply because there are so many influencing factors which contribute to dark circles such as:
Thin skin under the eye: This means blood vessels underneath are more visible and can give the skin a grey-blue tinge. This can be improved with undereye polynucleotides.
Hollowness due to genetics or the ageing process. As we age, from our mid 20’s, our undereye hollows become deeper and our mid cheeks become flatter. This can mean the area is more shadowed as a result giving an overall darker appearance. This can be improved with tear trough filler.
Hyperpigmentation: True hyperpigmentation is caused by overactive melanocytes laying down more melanin which is also triggered by sun damage and lack of SPF. This pigment is usually extremely dense, and hard to shift. We can aim to lighten and brighten the area using undereye mesotherapy.
Vitamin Defiencies such as iron, B12, E and D have all been linked to dark circles and again, can present as a more greyish colour in anemics for example.
It is thus important to have a consultation first and also to be realistic with your expectations. If you are affected by all of those four factors above, yet only address e.g. the hyperpigmentation, you cannot expect the dark circles to be suddenly gone. Dark circles can be improved, but never eliminated. All of the examples shown in this gallery have been treated with multiple modalities for best results.
